His Majesty Sultan Haitham inaugurate the Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah in Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate.

The idea of designing the museum was derived from the shape of the Omani mountains and linked to the Omani environment through the materials used in its construction.

The museum takes into account the use of the latest interactive technologies, and its reduction of ancient civilizations in a chronological sequence that includes the display of holdings from all periods, in addition to reviewing the various facilities included in the museum.

The museum halls transport the visitor on a journey through time starting from the late prehistoric times until the present day. The permanent exhibition halls are divided into two halls: the History Hall and the Renaissance Hall.

The history hall presents several eras: the geological formation of the land of Oman, the stone age represented by the wing of the first settlers, the Bronze Age represented by the wing of the Majan Civilization, and the iron age represented by the Kingdom of Oman, in addition to the wings of conversion to Islam, and the state of the Ya’ruba and the state of the Al Busaid.

While the Renaissance hall was designed in the form of an open space, in the middle of it is a group of majestic columns that form an interactive space for the high-resolution audio-visual display system that deals with the first five years of the life of the blessed Renaissance, to provide a panoramic view of the hall, and the blessed hall represents the culmination of the visitor’s experience of the museum and its main focus. It reviews the aspects of development, prosperity, and growth in the Sultanate of Oman, and the remarkable social, economic, industrial, and political transformation it witnessed, along with preserving the components of its authentic identity and ancient cultural traditions.
