Along Oman’s southern coast, nature performs a magical trick—turquoise waves give way to rosy pink lagoons, creating one of Arabia’s most surreal seascapes. These rare pink saltwater lagoons, tinted by microorganisms and mineral reactions, appear seasonally in Dhofar. This tour reveals where to find them, when to visit, and how to experience their beauty responsibly.
Once declared extinct in the wild, the majestic Arabian oryx—with its rapier-like horns and snow-white coat—now roams free again in Oman’s deserts thanks to one of history’s most successful conservation programs.

While Oman is famed for its deserts, few know about its vibrant wetland ecosystems—seasonal lagoons, mangrove forests, and coastal marshes that host over 540 bird species, including rare migratory visitors. By Janet Huelster(Oman)February 25, 2024 MY FAMILY AND I HAD A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCEHi Fatima, Thanks to all of your team. My family and I had a fantastic experience with your fabulous team (Ream, Badar & Khalid). Khalid was enthusiastic the moment we first met and throughout the entire trip. This small group tour was AMAZING!! It was an expensive trip but the wildlife sightings were fantastic. My target species were Arabian Oryx and Red fox and we ticked both of those boxes. From our arrival to the end of the trip we were so well looked after, it would be difficult to find a fault. I know we were exceptionally lucky but even if we hadn’t seen all this fantastic wildlife, the scenery and landscape are stunning! We wish that the Botanic Garden was completed. Service: Very good Itinerary: Well-designed Guides: Excellent Accommodation: Meals: Delicious Flights: Well-panned. Transportation: Excellent. Very comfortable and thoughtful of the equipment & space Thank you so much Reem, Khalid & Badar, we will forever treasure this wonderful trip. Janet Huelster & Family 🙂
