It was a true privilege to participate in the UNCTAD workshop Jordan—a valuable platform for dialogue, innovation, and international cooperation.
The conference featured a specialized workshop focused on the development of travel and tourism SMEs. The sessions included insightful presentations and B2B meetings with Jordanian travel agents and industry experts, including the former Minister of Tourism and the Chairman of Royal Jordanian Airlines. These discussions offered a deep dive into tourism strategies, challenges, and growth opportunities across the region.
Among the highlights of my trip was a long-anticipated visit to Petra, masterfully arranged by my friend Khalid, former head of the Jordanian Guide Association. Experiencing this iconic heritage site in such a seamless and professional way was truly memorable. The breathtaking beauty of Petra and the serene majesty of the Dead Sea left an indelible impression—both destinations stand as jewels of Jordan that continue to captivate every traveler.
