The Empty Quarter Tour Dhofar is a 7-day adventure in the Sultanate of Oman led by Panorama Travel guides. This adventure can be booked as a PRIVATE or a group of up to 16 Pax. On this trip, we explore the capital of the Sultanate; Muscat. We will discover the Hajar Mountains. You will enjoy wandering around traditional Souqs and medieval forts. We will investigate the quicksands following the footsteps of the explorer (Wilfred Thesiger) to the world’s largest continuous sandy ocean (Ruba’a Al Khali – The Empty Quarter).

Physical Endurance

• Many sites are accessed by climbing slopes or steps. All Panorama Travel programs require participants to have a reasonable degree of fitness, enabling 2-3 hours of walking a day. However, if you have any doubts about your ability to manage a program, please ask our travel counselor whether the Oman geology trip suits you.

• 7-days before departure is the deadline to book this trip in Oman.
• 1-person is the minimum number to book this adventure.
• Comfortable, conservative clothing, good grip footwear, a small backpack, a cap, and sunscreen are suggested.
• Visiting sites where you will encounter steps (e.g., at forts), cobbled streets (mountain villages), rocky and uneven ground, slopes, and steep walks.
• Transportation in 4WD includes a long-distance journey along winding mountains, desert trails, and graded roads.
• We charge per person based on how many persons are on the Empty Quarter tour. If you have a large number or require any customization, kindly, contact us with the details.
• This tour starts and ends at Muscat International Airport.
• 2 – Night overnight in the authentic Arabain sands.

Terms and Conditions – The Empty Quarter Tour

• We require a down payment to reserve The Empty Quarter Tour & the quicksands.
• Cancellation fees: If you decide to cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

1. If your cancellation is more than 14 days before arrival, we will refund 100% of the net program cost.
2. Cancellation by you 10–14 days before arrival, we will refund 90% of the net program cost.
3. Cancellation by you 5–10 days before arrival, we will refund 50% of the net program cost.
4. Cancellation by you less than 5 days before arrival or no show, we will make no refund.
