WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD FEATURING ARABIA FELIX BACK ON OUR SELLING LIST SOON

We were pleased to conduct the first Yemen research tour 2023 since the outbreak of the crisis in Yemen 10 years ago.

The country is still struggling to return to normal life, which was deepened by the crisis, in addition to the economic crises left by the Covid-19 pandemic. After the peace agreements that were reached, we hope for rapid developments in improving the quality of life, infrastructure, and services.

It is the second largest country in the Arabian Peninsula with an area of 555,000 square kilometers and a population of 26,687,000 in 2015.

Ancient kingdoms like the Kingdom of Sheba lived in Yemen, in addition to other ancient Arab kingdoms. Many of the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula trace their origins to ancient immigration from Yemen. Yemen has historical links in trade with East Africa and India, and it was the passage for frankincense caravans to Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, Petra, Rome, and Greece.

Yemen is well known for the gum stones and for introducing coffee to the world. History records Sufi monasteries on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula processing Yemen coffee over 500 years ago. The Yemen farmers have the advantage of the unique terrain of their country, which has conditions of climate and environment that were not considered ideal growing conditions for other plants. For 200 years, Yemen was the only source of coffee. Originally the primary mode of travel was by camel, but later, this Arabic Coffee was named after the Mokha Port which is on the coast of the Red Sea, from which these were eventually shipped. By 1650, coffee became popular in Europe, spawning the beginning of coffee shop and café businesses.

We are so excited to return our operation to  Arabia Felix and we are looking forward to featuring our first tour in 2025 on our sales list.
