Itinerary
08:00 AM TOUR START.
Pick up from any location in Muscat. Drive through the new Muscat/Batinah Highway to the north-west of Muscat
09:10 AM VISIT NAKHAL FORT
Sits on its small hill dominating the plain towards the sea and the Wadis (valleys) behind. The fort at Nakhl probably has its origins over 1,400 years ago. Enlarged during the subsequent centuries, it now occupies the entire hill on it stands.
10:20 AM VISIT AL THUWAR WARM WATER SPRING
A small warm spring at the foothill of the mountains is the source of the traditional falaj irrigation system of the oases.
11:00 AM VISIT WAKAN VILLAGE
At all times of the year, the temperature is cooler than in the plains below. Though the terraced fields are steep, pathways enable walking through many areas. Pomegranates are probably the most successfully grown crop here, along with peach, grape, pear, and raspberry.

02:00 PM VISIT WADI BANK KHAROUS
Drive through the stunning geology of wadi Bani Kharus at the foothill of Al Jabal Al Akhdar. These wadis have occasional villages to the sides of the wadi’s bottom, creating a splash of green against the hues of brown.
03:00 PM VISIT AL ALYA VILLAGE
It perched on a rock high above the wadi floor. The superb ancient aqueduct, the old falaj system, the green terraces, and the colorful rocks create a breathtaking scene.
