It’s always nice to visit Germany and the Bavaria in particular. This Business Trip clashed with my busy schedule as the tourism season is picking up, but as it’s an order form my boss at the tourism committee it was hard to say now.

The Germans are the biggest nationality visiting Oman and at Panorama Travels we understand this market very well as it’s the first market we delt with and we still continuing offering unique services to our German partners, so it was another good reason to go head in this business trip.

The Oman Air direct flight 6hours flight to Munich was just perfect. We reach late afternoon and we head to tour the Munich plaza which was quite familiar not because it’s my second visit also because most of the businesses are Arab and the food in the restrurants was quite familiar of Turkish, Serian and Iraqi due to the many refuges and migrants from these countries.

It was my job to speak in behalf of the delegation and introduce the delegation to our hosts at Munich chamber of commerce. After a welcome and a speech of the head of the Munich chamber of commerce, a presentation of the fabulous Bavaria followed. Then, we had a B2B meetings meeting with travel agents to explore the areas of cooperation, which was very interesting, informative and productive.

A visit to Garmisch (I would call it the crown of the Bavarian Riviera) was a must as here were Sultan Qaboos spent entire 8 months at his house when he was away from home in a treatment program.

I was much relived to not to miss the visit epic Neuschwanstein Castle and of course Skying on the dreamlike Alpes mountains.

Our final night was outstanding, we were invited to watch the first series “Sons of Sinbad” a three-part documentary series about key events and characters in the history of the Sultanate of Oman, took place on the Bavarian State Academy for Television and Film. The number of audiences was incredible, and all tickets were sold out. I’m no wondering way Oman falls within the taste of these world travelers.
