Jabal Shams Overnight is a two-day PRIVATE adventure that involves wandering through time in Bahla UNESCO Fort and Bahla’s traditional market. On this trip, we will chase the Tropic of Cancer on the breathtaking mountains, hike above the clouds at the top of Oman’s grandest canyon, and overnight at 2000m above sea level under one of the starriest skies in Oman. 

The next day, we will explore Yamani architecture in the old mud-brick town of Al-Hamra and then leave the trail behind on a breathtaking 4×4 adventure trip through Wadi Bani Awf, one of Oman’s geological paradises, and visit Oman’s most traditional and picturesque mountain village.

Practical Information & Considerations

• This is a private trip starting and ending in Muscat, and you can book it on any date.
• 5-days before departure is the deadline to book Jabal Shams overnight.
• 1 pax is the minimum, and 6 is the maximum number to book this trip.
• Visiting sites where you will encounter steps, cobbled streets (mountain villages), rocky and uneven ground slopes, and steep walks.
• 4WD drive transportation includes a long journey along winding mountain roads & graded roads.
• One 1-night is spent at Jabal Shams.
• We will meet you at your hotel or any location in Muscat. Please advise us if you wish us to book your entire Oman holiday with us, including your flight, hotel booking, and airport transfers.
• If you have a larger number of people or require any customization for any Oman overnight trip, please get in touch with us with details.
• Meals include (2 lunches, 1 Dinner & 1 Breakfast) (let us know anything that requires special attention from us about your food).

Physical Endurance

• Many sites are accessed by climbing slopes or steps. All Panorama Travels programs require participants to have a reasonable degree of fitness, enabling 2-3 hours of walking daily. However, if you have doubts about your ability to manage a program, please ask our travel counselor whether Jabal Shams overnight suits you.

3. If you decide to cancel your booking, the following charges apply:

• 5 full days before the tour – 100% refund
• 2-5 full days before the tour – 50% refund
• Less than 2 full days or no show – 0% refund
