Cyclone Shaheen was one of the most damaging cyclones that have hit Oman since cyclone Gonu in 2007. The country prepared for the cyclone from the first warning of the Meteorological Authority. Immediately, the National Committee for Emergency Situations activated the emergency plans and organized the national system for relief and shelter. Oman is now one of the most experienced countries in dealing with cyclones, which have increased in number and strength due to climate change. In cooperation with Clean Oman, our team at Panorama Travel carried out ongoing campaigns to distribute supplies and clean the house and roads.

We also allocated our fleet of vehicles and trailers to transport materials and volunteers to the work sites. Thousands volunteered in the most extensive national campaign in Oman’s history to restore life to normal in the affected areas. These national campaigns proved the solidity of the Omani people and their unity.
