With thirst for the adventure and experience of the golden era of the space exploration I started my journey to Houston. I’m a huge fan of the NASA’s space program. Who among the physicists will not when math and engineering pushed to the limits in the most incredible program ever like Apollo’s program? I certainly watched and read every picture, video and report released by NASA for includible Apollo’s moon missions. To ensure the complete adventure, I booked the Helton NASA Hotel for my entire stay which completely themed of the Apollo program and I was too lucky to meet some of NASA’s Pilots at the first breakfast.
If anyone ever will be able to compete with the Arabs in an Olympic generosity race it will be Dr. Maria Curtis, who insist to pick me and drop me to the Airport although it was quite far from the Helton NASA Hotel. She was a wonderful host throughout my entire staIn the second day of my visit Dr. Maria had organized me a full day the university. After a tour in the university, I had a nice brief and meeting with the participants of the Jan 2018 trip, an hour presentation of Oman and pre-departure materials followed with answering questions and hand over trip materials to all the participants ensuring everyone is ready and all set for the trip. Followed I was honored with lunch invitation be the Dean of the university.
In the evening we had wonderful Mexican dinner with all the previous participants. I was very glad to see them again and amazed and proud at the same time of their comments of how the Oman studying abroad trips changed their lifes.
It was wonderful to get to know the 2018 trip participants, make sure they are all set up and ready for their Oman adventure as we are definitely ready and looking forward to welcoming them in Oman.
